St. Lucia police detail rescue efforts following sinking of boat carrying US tourists

SAN JUAN, Puerto Rico - A boat captain and his first mate swam through dangerous waters for nearly a day before they were rescued after a sinking that was also survived by their two U.S. passengers, authorities in St. Lucia said on Friday.
